Drew Gammon

I am Drew Gammon from Smithfield, NC. I have been into fitness since High School in traditional gyms, personal training, 5ks, mudruns, and any other challenging activities I could find. After a few years of going to the gym and doing the same workouts over and over (while spending half the time talking or on the phone) I saw the CrossFit Games on tv and thought it looked interesting so I tried a workout the next day...needless to say I was hooked! I kept CrossFitting everyday for a few years and finally decided I enjoyed CrossFit and the community more than working, so I opened CrossFit 4042 in June of 2013 and have been loving every minute since!

Amy Locklear

My name is Amy Locklear. I am a mother of 3, I am also a Gigi of 3, a Gigi to many of the gym babies, and married to Mitchell Locklear. I have been in the fitness industry since 2008 working as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. I love trying new things and that is how I began CrossFit. I was introduced to CrossFit in 2012 and honestly did not like it, It was very different than anything else I had done in the past but I opened my mind and gave it a chance. Within the first month I was hooked. I truly enjoy helping people reach their fitness goals. Inspiring and motivating people is a passion for me.

I Crossfit because I love to feel strong. I have seen such a change in my body and what I am able to do. I want to be to strongest grandma around!

My secret ninja move is endurance…. Give me a longer WOD and I’m golden. Sprints not my jam .


My secret sucky move is anything gymnastics. My mind and body don't always communicate.

Josh Johnson

My name is Josh Johnson. I am a husband and father of three boys(why I have no hair 😂). I started CrossFit in 2015 after being bored with bodybuilding style weightlifting. I started getting into Spartan races and Tough Mudders and wanted a better way to train. I started seeing results very quickly from the CrossFit methodology and was hooked. Within a year I knew I not only wanted to make this a long-term part of my life, but I also wanted to help people. Starting CrossFit has lead me down an amazing path of learning about the human body, what it’s actually capable of, and how important it is to keep it fit(for survival). I want myself and everyone I want to be fit, move well and live independently for as long as possible. I want to be able to play with my grandkids and great grandkids like I played with my kids.

I coach because I love helping people become better! It is also important for us as adults to set an example of fitness for future generations. My favorite cheat meal is Pizza and Sushi. Why do I only get one?

My favorite thing to do outside of CrossFit is Spartan races, rucking, and being with my people.

Heather Gammon

My name is Heather Gammon. I am a mom of three amazing kids and an avid Crossfit Hobbyist! Before joining the box I was a stay at home mom and was not really into fitness;  I joined Crossfit4042 on a whim in 2013, and haven't looked back since!

Erik Jones

My name is Eric Jones. I’m an NC native married to a beautiful woman and we have 3 wonderful children. I love odd object and strength movements. I started CrossFit because I wasn’t happy in my own skin. The community I’ve found at CF4042 has helped me change that!
